The Dynagraph Viewer includes a variety of options to customize card display. These include the ability to toggle card plot elements, overlay cards in the view set, and show or hide a corresponding downhole plot.
On the card plot, you can toggle visibility of data points (see below), net stroke, and fluid fill setpoint. When one of these elements is visible, a check mark appears next to the command in the View menu. Click the command to toggle the element’s visibility. Visibility settings are preserved across Dynagraph Viewer sessions. See Customizing the Window for information about toggling other window elements.
The following card viewing options are described below.
Select Mark Points to view all data points (load/position pairs) that were used to construct the card graph. The number of these data points is specific to the device. Typically, 100-200 points are returned, all of which are plotted. Points are displayed as small circles along the curve. You can mouse over a point to display its position and load information in a tooltip. See Card Details for information about displaying a list of all raw data for a card.
To Toggle Display of Points
Select Net Stroke to display the net stroke as a vertical bar on the downhole graph, which you can move. When you move the mouse over the line, a tooltip appears with the net stroke value at the given position. This value is calculated as follows:
|
Net stroke = current position of vertical bar x pump speed x pump coefficient |
The pump speed is retrieved from the card if available, or from the details panel. The pump speed UDC is WPCSPEED00, and the pump coefficient UDC is WLPUMPCO00. See a CygNet administrator for further information.

Overlaying multiple cards in the plot area can aid in card comparison, especially when looking for fine curve differences. If the Overlay Cards option is selected, all card requests will be automatically overlaid. Otherwise, a retrieved card will replace the card currently being viewed. The maximum number of cards that can be overlaid is user-configurable, with a default value of 30.

Any card or a subset of cards stored by the DDS can be selected and viewed in the Dynagraph Viewer. The number of cards stored is configured per card type in the DDS (for the data group’s Transaction retention settings). When a set of cards is selected, they are added to the view set, unless a selected card is already displayed (duplicates are not displayed).
To Select a Card Set
on the toolbar. The Choose Cards to View dialog box appears. This dialog box lists all card transactions stored in the DDS.You can page backward and forward through the view set using the Next and Previous commands. When a card is selected, its label will appear slightly larger. The order of the cards in the view set can be determined by their labels. This is the order in which they were added to the view set, not their chronological order. When only one card is in the view set, these commands are disabled.
