On the Canvas toolbar, click
(Display properties) to display a Properties pane in your application window or to hide the currently open pane.
Use the Properties pane to access, edit, and customize properties of your screen and its controls or objects. The pane displays available property details of the screen or object that is currently selected.
See Configuring Control Properties for more information.
In the pane title bar, you can select how to display the pane by default (whether to float, dock, auto-hide, or hide it), pin the pane in place, or close the pane. Unpinning (or hiding) a pane when not in use gains extra space for viewing your current screen or another open pane. Closing a pane can also occur from the pane title bar. The following icons are available:
See Customizing the Workspace for more information.
The name of the currently selected object (screen or control) appears just below the pane header for reference. To edit a control name, click a selected control to view its properties, and then type the new name into the Name property text box.
You can click
(Categorize), click
(Alphabetical within Category) or click
(Search) within the properties using the features located immediately above the properties list. The search box is useful to help locate a property when an object contains many properties. For clarity, when you enter a search term, items matching your entry string remain displayed and non-matching items are temporarily hidden. Clear the search box to display the full properties list again.
You can expand and collapse each property category by clicking
or
next to the group name or simply clicking anywhere in the category heading.
