OPC Lufkin EIE
The OPC Lufkin EIE supports controllers whose data is maintained by an OPC server. The OPC Lufkin EIE uses the CygNet OPC Comm device to communicate with an OPC server. OPC is a client/server technology. One application acts as the server providing data, and the other acts as a client using data. The OPC Lufkin EIE acts as an OPC client.
Its features include the ability to view surface and downhole dynagraph cards. This device-independent functionality enables a user to view data directly in the data group editors or through the CygNet Dynagraph Viewer application. The Dynagraph Card data group is used to view card details, like configurable stroke information and load/position pairs, which are used to construct a card plot.
Note: The OPC Lufkin remote device EIE can only be paired with the OPC Comm device. The devices are non-functional without this exact combination.
