ProSoft EIE

The ProSoft EIE enables direct access to a ProSoft flow computer module through the module's communication port. (Alternatively, you can indirectly access a ProSoft module by routing to an additional port segment through a parent Allen-Bradley Logix5000 CPU.)

The ProSoft EIE is based on Modbus protocols, but it does not support the Enron EFM standard. ProSoft EIE data groups are highly configurable and depend on you to define each according to Modbus protocol, CygNet EIE, and module configuration constraints.

eieType eieType identifies the CygNet EIE type associated with a template (in the deviceDefinition element); it links a device driver with a template. It typically refers to the name of the protocol according to which an EIE conforms. A value includes a CygNet-defined string, up to 20 characters, alphabetical characters only, and no spaces. The default value is supplied in the template and is not typically changed.	ProSoft

FMS Support	Yes, using FMS Legacy EFM data items. Note: In cases where only GMR support was previously available, CygNet Measurement now provides equivalent data support using FMS Legacy data items. If you were previously using GMR data items, you must update to use FMS Legacy data items, effective with the CygNet v8.5.0 release. Update options are provided as part of your corresponding software upgrade procedure.
