Configuring Reports — General

The first page of the New/Edit Report Configuration dialog box defines the name and type of report.

General

Name

Every report needs to have a Name. The name will be used as the filename for the Report Definition File (.rdf) and therefore must be unique in the storage location. The maximum number of characters for the report name is 100.

Type of Report

Reports can be against Current values or Historical values, or they can be SQL-based. Since SQL reports use a slightly different configuration interface than the value-based reports, they will be covered separately. See Configuring Reports SQL Reports.

Reports can also be Combined, which can be used to merge multiple reports into a single file or to email multiple reports out in a single email. See Configuring Reports — Combined Reports.

Click Next to move to the next page of the New/Edit Report Configuration dialog box.
