CygNet Designer
Note: The CygNet Designer is a CygNet Applied Engineering application, which is priced and sourced separately from the rest of the CygNet product. Contact your Account Manager or CygNet Sales for additional licensing information.
The CygNet Designer is an add-on utility used to build models describing CygNet databases and to test existing databases against that model. With CygNet Designer you can:
- Describe rules that define your CygNet system
- Validate one or more CygNet sites against your rules
- Find and fix deviations from the rules
- Create new facilities and points using your rules
At the heart of the CygNet Designer is a model for describing your system known as a blueprint.
In a blueprint, you will configure the following:
- Facility definitions that describe the facilities in your site and their attributes, as well as the facility’s points and the UIS commands that update those points
- Point definitions that describe the UDC and attributes for all points in your site
- Facility attribute definitions that describe which facility attributes are enabled
- Table definitions that describe the tables that exist in the site and the associated entries of each table
This online help supports CygNet Designer v16.1+.
